Attorney David J. Smith was raised in the Dayton area having graduated from Walter E. Stebbins High School in 1999.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Wilmington College in 2003, graduating cum laude.  In addition to his academic accomplishments, David played on the varsity soccer team and served Sigma Zeta fraternity as President, amongst other extracurricular activities.  David went on to study at the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law and graduated in 2006.

David became a partner in the law firm Babb, Anderson, Rowland & Smith, LLC in 2018 and focuses ins practice on bankruptcy, estate planning and probate law. David recognized the importance of planning for the future and obtaining security for loved ones after starting his family with his wife Rachel.  He quickly began assisting young families with their estate planning (wills, powers of attorney) and helping families after the loss of a loved one.

During this time David also noticed the increasing financial struggles that were affecting Ohio citizens and decided he wanted to help individuals get the fresh financial start they deserve.  His practice focuses on consumer and business chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy representation.

David also co-founded ELITE Sports & Entertainment Agency, LLC where he represents athletes.  He became a National Football League Player’s Association (NFLPA) Certified Contract Advisor in 2012.
